The Direct to Seatbelt Tether attaches to the female end of the seat belt and can simply stay there. When your dog gets in, simply attach the other end to his harness with the included carabiner, and you're ready to go - your dog safely in the back seat and you in the driver's seat (even if your dog prefers it the other way around).
